The Sales Manager will sell corporate partnership packages in support of the objectives of the Sharks/SVSE/HP Pavilion corporate partnership functions.
Major Responsibilities and Representative Tasks 

Selling Corporate Partnerships

    Research existing and potential clients to determine avenues to enhance marketing and advertising presence through the use of Sharks/ HP Pavilion available inventory
    Design, present, and sell through customized partnership packages/services in line with customer marketing goals and objectives
    Develop and implement individual sales plan using master calendar and event schedules
    Maximize revenue to the organization as well as client satisfaction for all clients in assigned areas
    Use unique entertainment events and available facilities to maintain contacts and build customer satisfaction
    Scan sales targets and opportunities from local, league national sources order to cultivate prospects that may be customers for new programs and business development opportunities
    Perform proactive outbound sales activities in order to secure new partnerships
    Respond to call-in requests and handle necessary follow through to connect potential partners with the appropriate department or opportunity

Coordinate and Follow Up on Sales

    Coordinate with Service Managers and other internal departments to facilitate understanding and compliance with promotions and packages that have been sold to clients

					Summary
The Birthday Party Captain, acting under the direction of the Party Coordinator and in tandem with department Managers, is the head of individual birthday parties. Party Captains will facilitate a memorable and great party atmosphere for the attendees by setting up the party, greeting guests, playing games, serving food, giving skating lessons, and taking down parties. The Captain has the duty to insure each birthday child, family and participants have a memorable and unique experience while visiting Sharks Ice.
Essential Functions
Party Preparation:
o Follows details/script of the party agenda given by the Party Coordinator during pre-party briefing.
o Confirm food orders, party scheduling and public session programming with Party Coordinator.
o Sets up table decorations and party favors. 
o Assist in any area of preparation when needed.
Party Execution:
o Ensures party areas are clean and prepared in a timely manner before, during and after the party.
o Greets parents, birthday person &amp;amp; children when they arrive. Shows family where their party will be held and explains timeline. 
o Fits and ties skates for party participants.
o Give off ice and on ice verbal instructions according to party agenda.
o Plans and executes several birthday games to take place both on and off the ice, as well as the party area according to party agenda.
o Coordinate birthday group in a manner during the party ensuring everyone participate in all the scheduled activities

The Worcester Sharks are looking for internship candidates for the 2010-2011 season. We offer internships in a variety of areas including sales, marketing, community relations, corporate sales, public relations, and game operations. Our internships are great opportunities for individuals to see first hand how a professional sports team is organized and managed. They will gain experience in all aspects of the organization which will provide them with the skills necessary for future careers.
Basic Functions (vary from department to department):
&amp;bull; Data Entry
&amp;bull; Fulfill donation requests
&amp;bull; Administer and implement current sales programs
&amp;bull; Assist in research and development of new sales campaigns
&amp;bull; Write game summaries
&amp;bull; Research statistics for home and away radio/television broadcasters
&amp;bull; Help set up pre and post game events
&amp;bull; Service concourse activities
&amp;bull; Help in-arena host with all in game promotions and contests

Requirements:
&amp;bull; Must be 18 years or older by October 1st, 2010
&amp;bull; One or two semester long position, with ability to work regular office hours along with game nights and weekends
